Florence

Florence stands in a fascinating position, at the centre of a basin shaped an amphitheatre, surrounded by three sides by hills of clayey Careggi, Fiesole Settignano, Arcetri, Poggio Imperiale and Bellosguardo. In the flat area where we find the old town is crossed dall'Arno and watercourses smaller as the Mugnone, Terzolle Greve and the river. The whole area is made up of many natural areas and hilly areas have a centuries agricultural and housing, with the forest area reduced to a minimum.
